E-Z Camper Of America U.S. Patent NO. 3140114
The EZ Camper company was located in Littlerock, California. The building is still there today, and at last check was for sale. It appears that the EZ Camper Company produced a couple hundred campers in the first couple of years. In the "other EZ Campers" section there is a picture of a 1962 that has a slightly different EZ Camper interior. The only major difference is the opening below the "Z" bed…. It is smaller than on later year EZ Campers.
The production numbers are sketchy. There were approximately 2000 EZ Campers made. The highest know is a 1967 EZ Camper #1985. The lowest confirmed known number is a 1965 # 255. Here the known EZ Campers that have original tags.
1962 ??
1963 ??
1964 <255?????
1965 number range from # <255-799>
1966 number range from # <1359-1723>
1967 number range from # <1985>
The EZ Camper interior is pretty much the same on all EZ Campers. There are variations in vinyl color. I have seen Brown, Red, and Grey (the sun has turned most of the gray to green). In all EZ Campers that I have seen the floor is an off white linoleum with light brown and gold flake. The light color wood is a mixture of veneer and paperboard. All EZ Campers that I have seen have an icebox that has a brown colored door. Another mark That most EZ Campers should have is on the Z bed. The EZ Camper company had a patent on the Z bed so they stamped each bed (the metal "z" frame) with their company name.
This is all of the information that I have right now. If you have more or feel that I left something out (I am sure I did), please email me and I will add new info to this page.
